About Bukla SDA Elementary School

Bukla SDA Elementary School is situated in a beautiful valley that lies just five kilometers away from the city of Valencia, 116 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro City and 18 kilometers east of Mountain View College. It is a Seventh-Day Adventist institution under Northern Mindanao Conference of the South Philippine Union Conference with approximately three hundred pupils of which 76% of its total population comes from the Seventh-Day Adventist homes and only 24% from non-SDA homes. Our unique mission is to train our pupils to be of service for others and to become productive workers for God and humanity.

Founded in 1948, Bukla SDA Elementary School continues to shine for Jesus Christ as reflected in its mission and philosophy through its service-oriented programs where pupils actively participate in a variety of missionary outreach that include the following:

- Bukla Choir and Sweet Melody Ensemble: a 100-pupil choir and
musical ensemble that ministers in the church and in the community.

- Kid’s Gymnast: a gymnastic performance of selected pupils
advocating a healthy lifestyle.

- Pathfinder and Adventurer Clubs: a school activity where pupils
participate in visiting the sick, offering songs and prayers aside from its
regular weekly activities.

Success Through Service

Projects:

Acquiring a
1-Unit School Bus. With the increasing Adventist members surrounding the progressive city of Valencia, there is also a great demand for quality Adventist education to cater the needs of our brethren for the education of their children.in this competitive technological society. Hence, Bukla is trying its best in telling the world through quality education. As a result of the collaborative efforts, the school won as first in SPUC-Wide Operation Beautify last 2006. With the quest for quality and with undivided efforts of the faculty and staff, school board, parents, and church members the school submitted to be evaluated by the Adventist Accreditation Association (AAA) last school year 2007-2008. The whole area were thoroughly considered and praise God accreditation was granted. The training under Christian teachers is what the neighboring churches need.

But travel nowadays for kids is precarious and parents are cautious. Hence, the school is in need of a bus to ensure safety and convenience. Through this transportation we strongly believe that we can reach those who are in thirst of Adventist education, children who who at present, are enrolled in the public schools, that will prepare them for better citizens on this earth and for the life eternal.
